These are known for being installed on low option cars including high performance models built for racing. These are referred to as Dog Dish caps since many owners removed them from the car when new in favor of custom wheels. They then flipped the caps upside down and used the caps for dog bowls, etc. Since many of these caps were abused or tossed out when new, finding a nice original set is a very difficult task today.
