GM 2 Spoke Wood Steering Wheel 1964-1966 Corvair Nova 16 Inch NO CRACKS SURVIVOR

  
This is an original GM 2 spoke simulated walnut wood steering wheel. The Chevelle and Impala also have an optional wood wheel but it was slightly larger in diameter(about 16 1/2 inches). This is only a 1/4 inch per side and it is nearly impossible to tell the difference once it is on a car. In fact, many Chevelle and Impala owners prefer this wheel over the larger one since it makes the car more enjoyable to drive and may keep you from the dreaded belly rub. The last picture shows this wheel on top of a larger Chevelle/Impala wheel to show how small the difference is.

Finding a nice original one of these wheels is near impossible today. The horn parts and cap are not included but are readily available from restoration parts houses at reasonable prices.

The most important part is finding a nice original wheels since the reproductions are a joke. This is a very nice original GM wheel. Nice rim with awesome color and excellent grain. The wheel has no cracks or repairs on the front or rear.

The color is also very rich and vibrant. The rim is in very nice shape with a few light nicks and scratches from being moved around(minor). There is a close up of the worst nick/scratch so you can see it is minute. The stainless spokes are also in very nice shape with no damage.

The stainless ring on the outside center of the rim is intact and in good condition. The stainless ring is tight in the groove, not loose and sloppy like many you will see.
